Rebecca says she takes several medications to treat various conditions, including anxiety, depression, sciatica, and ADD. She adamantly denies her family’s claim that she is abusing her prescriptions and “doctor shops” to get them. Rebecca recently lost custody of her 8-year-old daughter, Harper, but claims she’s doing everything required of her by Child Protective Services to regain custody of her child. “She shouldn’t be on these drugs and get her kid back,” says Dr. Charles Sophy, a psychiatrist and retired Medical Director for the County of Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services. “Either they don’t know about it, or they don’t know the seriousness of it.” Watch the video above to find out why Dr. Sophy and Dr. Phil say that the combination of medications Rebecca is taking is a “deadly cocktail.” This episode of Dr. Phil, “My Sisters Are Wrong. I Am Not a Drug Addict,” airs Friday. Check your local listing for airtimes. WATCH: ‘This Is Messed Up,’ Declares Guest As She Walks Off ‘Dr. Phil’ Stage TELL DR.
